Queen of Lenzerheide: Justine Braisaz-Bouchet

There is no doubt about the woman – or biathlete – of the hour: Justine Braisaz-Bouchet hasn’t just found her groove, she has delivered the first sprint-pursuit-mass start triple on the women’s side since Tiril Eckhoff in Annecy – Le Grand Bornand 2019. As a result of her dominating display in Lenzerheide, the Frenchwoman is now the World Cup Total Score leader and will start the year 2024 in the yellow bib; less than a year after giving birth to her daughter.

German-Norwegian Festival

On the men’s side, the German team ruled the sprint while Norway seized a hold of the field in the pursuit as well as the mass start.

With 4 Germans in the Top 6 in the sprint and 5 Norwegians in the Pursuit and Mass Start, two flags were more present than anyone else – Martin Ponsiluoma and Quentin Fillon Maillet were the only other athletes finding their way into the Top 6 of the week.

Anna Andexer rules Ridnaun

With victories in both sprints as well as the Single Mix Relay, Anna Andexer achieved the perfect week in South Tyrol. The 20-year-old has previously triumphed in the Sprint in Pokljuka and has taken a confident lead in the Junior Cup Total Score.

On the men’s side, Jakob Borgula will head home as leader of the Junior Cup Total Score.

Two wins and Total Score lead for French women also in IBU Cup

The IBU Cup in Sjusjoen saw Oceane Michelon win in the Sprint, her first-ever IBU Cup win. Anaelle Bondoux stepped up in the Pursuit, shooting her first-ever 20/20 for her first-ever IBU Cup win. Jeanne Richard, who celebrated her first-ever IBU Cup triumph in the Individual in Kontiolahti, travels home for Christmas as the Total Score leader.
