The favourite moment of the season was...

With many first-time medal winners, surprising podiums and awesome competition weekends, this season was truly special. We asked the athletes about their favourite moments. From their own perfect races to cheering on teammates, the answers are heartwarming to say the least!

Emilien Claude - Ruhpolding weekend

"It was really special for me because for sure it was my first podium but also because of the beautiful athmosphere and the German dans, I really enjoyed it! I have a lot of memories with the relay and the medal ceremony in the evening. It was so nice!

And specially for me that I have my girlfriend from Innsbruck, I like the German culture culture so in Bayern it was like in Tyrol a bit."

Noora-Kaisa Keranen - Suvi's bronze medal at Lenzerheide

"Suvi has worked for a long time with percision and is the kind of teammate that I can look up to ❤️ Suvi brought the first World Championships medal after Kaisa Makarainen ended her career and has brought up biathlon in Finland so much! Suvi also doesn't look down on us younger biathletes but wants to insprire and pull up the team all together!"

Ukaleq Astri Slettemark - Greenlandic flags in the crowd

"We´re only 50 000 people living in Greenland. To compare, if there would have would've been the same percentage of German fans the whole German population, there would have been 16 600 on the stadium! I'm not so used to seeing other Greenlanders outside of Greenland but everytime I do it's a special bonding moment."

Julia Tannheimer - Women relay in Hochfilzen

"I think my favourite moment of the season was the women's relay win in Hochfilzen. It was an amazing moment to share with the team!"

Annija Sabule - Parents cheering in the crowd

"My parents are my biggest supporters all these years that I have been in biathlon. They never let me give up and give the most needed mental safeness and trust in me when others gave up on me. Without them I can't imagine doing this sport, another reason is financial support all these years that I am able to do it in professional level.

Having the best parents in the World is my biggest gift in life and seeing them in tribunes in Kontiolahti fingers crossed for me was so special for all of us. I know thay this suppert is the purest and most real I have ever received ❤️."

Lovro Planko - Relay joy

"This is a tough question but I have two things in my mind. The first one is the fourth place with the men's relay team in Hochfilzen. Crossing the finish line in such a high position is something amazing, even more so because my mom and dad were there to see it.

The second one is actually Campbell Wright getting a medal at the World Champs. I was honestly super happy and so proud of him. In my opinion he is one of the best so I was stoked to see him showing what he can do!"
