The IBU is hosting its first Para Biathlon Development Camp in Hochfilzen, Austria, from 16-21 September 2024. The registration deadline is 16 August 2024.

Following the transfer of governance for Para Biathlon from the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) to the IBU in July 2022, the process of full integration is underway. The IBU aims to provide Para Biathletes with the conditions under which they can develop to their fullest, and provide them a stage on which they can deliver their best performances in front of global audiences.

The IBU Summer Para Biathlon Development Camp is aimed at developing athletes with limited or no high level Para Biathlon competition experience. The overall objective of the camp is help participating athletes and coaches improve their skills and competence for future participation in international level competitions. The camp aims to provide the participating athletes and their coaches with practical and theoretical knowledge about the sport of biathlon and enable them access to both Para Biathlon know-how and practical training sessions.
