There is no shortage of examples of successful cross-country skiers who answered to the love call from biathlon and became excellent athletes in our sport: from Magdalena Forsberg to Denise Herrmann-Wick, to name two of the most successful ones. Slovenia’s Anamarija Lampic hopes to join this group as she decided to follow a passion for biathlon that dates back from her youth, when she was playing with her brother and snowballs.
The ever-smiling Slovene went on a different path since, but when the chance came again, she started her journey into biathlon with a clear goal ahead: the Olympic Games of Milano-Cortina in 2026.
In this video interview, we got to know more about her as an athlete and as a person, also thanks to her coach Ricco Gross and teammate Polona Klemencic.
