Norway takes both Mixed relays in Brezno-Osrblie

Norway dominated the relays at the IBU Cup in Brezno-Osrblie winning in the Mixed Relay and Single Mixed Relay and ending the week with six wins. Both races highlighted Norway’s deep roster of talent.

Norway in the league of their own in the Mixed Relay

Norway secured a dominant victory in the Mixed Relay. Marte Krakstad Johansen, Siri Skar, Sverre Dahlen Aspenes, and Isak Frey. The team used only seven spare rounds, and finished with a time of 1:02:43.2. Austria (Rothschopf, Wagner, Muehlbacher, and Muellauer) claimed second place, 1:10.4 behind, despite requiring 15 spare rounds. Italy (I. Scattolo, B. Trabucchi, Leonesio, and Romanin) completed the podium, finishing 1:14.9 back, using 14 spare rounds. Norway’s efficiency in both skiing and shooting set them apart from their competitors.

Erdal and Bakken bring another win to Norway

Norway also triumphed in the Single Mixed Relay, with a stellar performance from Karoline Erdal and Sivert Guttorm Bakken, who used only seven spare rounds, winning with 39:39.4. Czechia (Tereza Vinklarkova and Tomas Mikyska) secured second place, finishing 43.6 seconds behind after using 10 spare rounds. Ukraine (Anastasiya Merkushyna and Artem Tyshchenko) claimed third, 1:12.8 back, with a strong shooting performance requiring only five spare rounds.
