The International Biathlon Union has adjusted the schedule for the IBU Cups 1-2 in Arber, GER, which will kick off the IBU Cup season this Thursday, 14 January 2021. The Short Individual competitions, which were scheduled for the first week, will be now held during the second week, while two sprint competitions will take place at the IBU Cup 1. However, the Men Sprint competitions during the first week will be conducted on the 2.5km loop.

Besides the competition changes, the time schedule was also slightly adjusted. The Men Sprint competition on Saturday, 16 January 2021, is now planned for 14:00 instead of 13:45 CET, while the new start time for the Men Short Individual on Wednesday, 20 January 2021, is 10:00 instead of 10:30 CET. The respective time changes were made due to the high number of registered participants: around 190 men and 170 women.Moreover, after the final inspection visits to Duszniki Zdroj, POL, the IBU can confirm that the IBU Open European Championships 2021 will go ahead as planned from 27 – 31 January 2021.
