The first competition week of 2025 saw some incredible performances as athletes broke their previous records. We saw many first-time podiums and great comebacks from the biathletes. But which one was the most impressive to you?

Paula Botet (FRA) rose to the powerful French team from IBU Cup and showed it was the right choice. She took her first World Cup win in the women's sprint on Thursday. In the same competition we saw two more first-timers on the podium as Maren Kirkeeide (NOR) was second and Milena Todorova (BUL) came in third. In the men's side Dmytro Pidruchnyi (UKR) showed that there is a special magic with him and Oberhof as he came in 4th in the men's sprint.
