Franziska Preuss took control of the Ruhpolding Women’s 4 X 6 km Relay for the first time when she cleaned prone, then calmly closed all five standing targets, sealing a flag-waving home victory in 1:07:47.6. Preuss and teammates Stephanie Scherer, Selina Grotian and Sophia Schneider used four spare rounds winning a competition where they were in contention all afternoon but not the lead until Preuss’ sterling anchor leg.
Norway dominated the relays at the IBU Cup in Brezno-Osrblie winning in the Mixed Relay and Single Mixed Relay and ending the week with six wins. Both races highlighted Norway’s deep roster of talent.
