Andrea Henkel (married Burke) is the BMW IBU World Cup Total Score champion in the 2006/2007 season. She claimed gold in the Individual at the Olympic Winter Games Salt Lake City 2002 and gold in all four disciplines at the IBU World Championships: in the Individual in Khanty-Mansiysk 2005, in the Sprint and Pursuit in Oestersund 2008 and in the Mass start in Antholz-Anterselva 2007. Henkel was a member of the German Gold medal-winning women’s relay in Salt Lake City 2002. She anchored Germany's women's relay to gold at the home BMW IBU World Championships Ruhpolding 2012, one of her four team triumphs at the IBU's flagship event. In her career, Henkel managed to claim 22 World Cup victories. Since retiring from biathlon, she resides in Lake Placid, United States, with her husband, ex-U.S. Biathlete Tim Burke. She has merged her unique experience as a world-class athlete and a love for working out and became a personal trainer.
