Nestled in a valley in the Aravis Mountains of France’s Haute Savoie, Le Grand Bornand is a typical French mountain village. Daily life revolves around the central square, with its cathedral, outdoor cafes, and a weekly market that always features the locally-produced Reblochon cheese. The multi-use Stadium Sylvie Becaert sits just 400 meters from the square in this well-known winter sports resort. The tracks sweep through snow-covered pastures populated by the local cows in the summer, while winding past traditional village chalets and barnyards, making this one of the most unique and picturesque venues on the BMW IBU World Cup circuit.
