The Winner's Words - Martin Uldal

After my win in the first Sprint in Arber, it was the second time this season that I felt in the attacking mood, wanting to prove something. Last week, I was sick and spent the days playing video games, hoping my body would keep some of the shape I had in February. It worked out; I felt great today.

Scherer finds her winning form

Stefanie Scherer of Germany, with 10/10, won in the women's Sprint at the IBU Cup in Obertilliach in 21:40.7. It is her first IBU Cup in the 2023/2024 season. Scherer was just 0.3 seconds behind Sara Scattolo after the prone shooting but kept her focus intact, building on her strong performance from the Short Individual, where she finished fourth yesterday.

The Winner's Words - Stefanie Scherer

This win means a lot to me. The whole season was a rollercoaster: I started in the German Cup, qualified for the IBU Cup team for Martell-Val Martello, went back to the German Cup, and finally returned and stayed in the IBU Cup. Winning in the Sprint means that I did good biathlon as you can win in the Sprint by just shooting clean: you need to be fast in the tracks as well.
