Home-crowd hero of the first stage of the BMW IBU World Cup in Kontiolahti, Suvi Minkkinen, was voted Athlete of the Week by biathlon fans across all our social media platforms. The Finn, who celebrated her first-ever career podium in the women’s sprint, narrowly secured enough votes to triumph over German rising star Julia Tannheimer, who finished a close second in the poll.
