Vanessa Voigt has annoounced she will not be competing for the remainder of the 2024-2025 Biathlon season, also ruling her out of the BMW IBU World Championships in Lenzerheide next month.

Voigt start the season strongly, being in the Top 5 of the World Cup Total Score before the Christmas break but getting sick over Christmas derailed her second trimester. The German skipped multiple competitions, including the last World Cup week in Antholz-Anterselva. This morning, the 27-year-old announced that after several medical checks and consulting with the team, she will skip the World Championships and the last three World Cup stages to focus on recovery and getting healthy - similar to her teammate Franziska Preuss in the past two winters.
