The IBU President Olle Dahlin has been appointed as a member of the IOC Sustainability and Legacy Commission after the IOC adapted its commission structure following the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022.

Following the adoption of the Olympic Agenda 2020+5, a new structure for the IOC Commissions was required. Due to the extraordinary circumstances of the pandemic and the postponement of the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, the IOC decided to adapt the commission structure in 2022, after staging the successful Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022.
