The IBU participated in the IF Forum 2024 at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland, from 21-23 October. With a record attendance of over 480 delegates, the forum focused on making IFs “match fit and future-ready” by addressing issues like anti-doping, athlete mental health, new technologies, Esports, and sustainability.

The IBU received the IOC Climate Action Awards 2024 certificate and contributed to key sessions. Riikka Rakic, IBU Head of Strategy, Sustainability and Governance, participated in a panel discussing EU funding for sustainability projects, while the IBU Development Director Dagmara Gerasimuk showcased the IBU Academy's initiatives on gender equality in coaching, particularly the Mentorship program. Her presentation aimed to inspire attendees to adopt similar practices in their organisations.
