"This afternoon, I was struck down with fever and a headache. This is, of course, very unfortunate, but I cannot compete in this condition. Now, I will do everything I can to be ready to start on Sunday," says Bø, who is set to compete in his final World Cup competitions in Holmenkollen this weekend.
The decision for Bø to sit out the initial competitions was made in consultation with the national team management this afternoon
On Friday, the sprints will kick off the last competitions of this biathlon season, followed by the pursuits on Saturday and the Mass Starts on Sunday.
