Back problems are forcing Lisa Vittozzi to sit out the first World Cup stage of the season in Finland. At a result, the defending Total Score Champion will miss the first three individual competitions of the season, putting her at great disadvantage to defend her Total Score title.

Vittozzi continues preparations in Obertilliach

The Italian will not be at the start gate during the World Cup Opening from November 30 to December 8. As per a FISI Press Release, Vittozzi is currently recovering from a back problem that has forced her to slow down her preparation a lot in recent weeks. In agreement with the technical staff, the Italian has decided to skip the races in Finland and will prepare in Obertilliach (AUT) to be ready for the second World Cup in Hochfilzen (AUT) from 13 - 15 December .
