The IBU, the organising committee Oberhof 2023 and local authorities will meet tomorrow morning at 7.30 am to determine whether the Men’s and Women’s relay competitions at the BMW IBU World Championships Biathlon in Oberhof, Germany can go ahead amidst concerns over bad weather.

According to local authorities, the strong winds forecast with predicted gusts up to 85 km/h could present a danger to athletes and spectators in the forested areas of the course.

The competitions on Saturday 18 February 2023 are currently scheduled for:

11:45 (CET) - Men's Relay

15:00 (CET) - Women's Relay.
